Alcor Blog-- Chana deWolf-- interesting blog post-- 08-31-07

Here's a fresh new look & feel post to the Alcor blog-- by Chana deWolf. [+]

It's interesting to me-- first-- that the Alcor blog DOES appear on the Google blogsearch under keyword 'cryonics'. This feature is what I've been pushing cryos to do.... Alcor finally did it. I believe that Alcor actually insituted their blog as a result PARTLY of my pitch on blogs for cryos starting Jan. 2006. This latest post by Chana is a notable point on that curve where we see here use the Alcor blog in a personal way that I haven't really seen before. Good work Chana. Very inforamtive.

Second-- it's interesting to me that Chana got her chops up over the past year in the threaded N54 forum-- a technique that I personally pushed several years ago, before the blog heyday-- thinking that other cryos would take up the technique to get away from the obsoltet Cryonet. Only JonHinek took up my call-- and subsequent problems in my CryonicSCafe with respect to tW led to it's demise-- along with other co-factors-- but the salient feature of this is that Chana is expressive in a way that has been uncommon in cryonics-- she freely writes on ColdFilter-- and even my continuing N54 forusm-- when they're open-- and now she's on Alcor Blog-- having cut her teeth so to speak in those N54 areas where thoughts fly more freely.

Finally-- I would encourage cryos to observe what I'm talking-- and delete any adverse responses you have to ME personally-- and take a look at the world around you-- in terms of blogging-- using Chana's appearance as a clue. In 2007, it's turning to be a case where if you're a cryo and you do NOT blog-- that that's at least a "curious" thing.... It's like "not having a website"-- and of course, every viable entity in business has a website now. Maxim's blog is effective and M+ has found it useful too. Slowly but surely, cryos are coming around to the forward looking vision I first pointed out...
