Harris-- In fact, on this matter, we aren't (I think some ammendation to the report is in order after we talk to the correct people, as with the heparin issue). But to start in with an attack and accustion that SA blew the patient's brain (when it was directly visualized and perfused well) is completely gonzo. My response to such irresponsibility is likely to be extreme. I'm glad to admit mistakes when I make them. But I'll be damned if I'll stand for accusations of "malpractice" in situations where the outcome was good, and the circumstances are unclear enough to admit many different scenarios. [+]

My observation-- The report doesn't have to be amended to reflect what Harris wants it to reflect. The suggestion that the official story is going to be changed-- or amended-- is quite something. Maxim quite clearly knows how to interpret what happened here. I think I used the phrase "blew the brain"-- which is used by Harris here.
