It's interested because the DNA is still fairly intact and so this demonstrates the principle that some biological entities do indeed survive frozen conditions. Of course, the human brain and emergent cognitive createive unique mind are much more comoplex-- but the people who scoff at cryonics shouldn't scoff so hard in the light of the fact of these bacteria that survive-- which you would not neccessarily think is possible-- yet there it is.
