ELECTION 2008-- Kucinich sounded good.

I liked Kucinich in the AFL-CIO debates last night on Tv. Here's a fair article on it. [+] Cryonics eventually will have to deal with the right of cryonicists to remain cryopreserved for as long as it takes to be recovered. The long term situation is dicey-- and constitutional protection will be essential... the right to life, liberty, happiness... and frozen state existence-- will be part of the General Welfare preamble, a part of the constitution that Alcor cryonicist Jerry Searcy ridicules by saying that the centralized powers of Washington are constrained by what the constition does NOT say they can do. His is a "delimited" point of view that doesn't take into account the over-arching princple of "General Welfare". Hamiltonian constitutional interpretation is better than Jeffersonian however. Anti American Constitutionalist Paul Wakfer prefers to speak of sovereign individuals rather than sovereign nation-states-- and so basically, true to his Canadian form, has zero historical identity. Kucinich is a principled politician whose views are more consistent with a viable future for the US and therfore for cryonics than any other candidate right now, in my view.
