EXACTLY!!!! The many financial scenarios I've heard may be "speculative irrationality," but I assure FD these speculations come from generally rational people, who are probably just trying to make some sense out of something that makes no sense at all. I, myself, am totally and absolutely dumbfounded by the amount of money that has been wasted on accomplishing next-to-nothing at SA. That is why I ask everyone I communicate with, in cryonics, "Why does LEF pour that kind of money into SA, building stuff that already exists, and paying unqualified people two-to-four times what they would be earning in their own fields, and not demand that something be accomplished?" Some of the answers I get back are these:

"It's some kind of tax write-off." (And, Phil isn't the only person to say this.)
"LEF is required to contribute a certain amount of money each year to cryonics organizations."
"Bill is just keeping Saul out of his hair at LEF."
"Bill and Saul are just doing it for themselves."

And so on. None of the arguments are mine, and I agree with FD, that they seem rather irrational. However, if we set aside all other arguments in regard to why the money is there and not accomplishing anything, we are left with negligence, ignorance, gullibility, or stupidity. As I already stated, the pouring of funds into a company that accomplishes nothing in five years is an absolute mystery to me. MY POINT WAS...regardless of why the funds are there, why not use them to actually accomplish the stated goals??? Hire some qualified personnel, who will be aware of existing equipment, and who will not need to call for step-by-step instructions, (from other people who really aren't qualified to perform the medical procedures), during a case.

One of my ex-readers (ex-- because I cut her off for being stupid-- and I think I know who it is-- )-- said I copy from CF-- without understand a few things-- one-- that I catalog some CF posts under keywords making them findable-- and that that function in and of itself is amazing-- because I can catalog it under what I want to file it as... in this case SA Inc.-- Maxim-- money waste...

Note the honorable mention-- I've shut down my forums, I've shut down my blog-- I've been cut off from all cryonics forums and I'm STILL referred to and discussed-- this shows that something isn't right. Something deep, dark and very serious. I've decided to stay away from all cryonicists. Cryonicists represent a cult that has taken over cryonics-- it's invisible because you would think "cryonicists" would be very much into cryonics-- paradoxically they are not. Cryonics has been infiltraated by cryoncists.
