Watch Ben Best in this thread.

In the development of situations, it's interesting to see people sidestepping questions and issues as well as grapple with them. Here's Cryonics Insitute president Ben Best responding to a side issue introduced by FD-- on in-field vitrification. [+]. Yet earlier in that thread, Maxim points to the most significant feature of the C81 case, the blowout, a "critical mistake". [+].

The thread was started by FD on the matter of damage to blood vessels with field washout. [+]. Best answers FD's question about the danger of funeral directors doing washout-- and Maxim points out the danger-- of SA doing it too-- yet Best ignores her-- so far... as of Mon. morning-- and chooses to respond to an issue-- field vitrification-- which is really of secondary importance.

SA Inc-- C81-- 08-16-07-- Andy didn't talk C81 into it. (1)
SA Inc-- C81-- 08-16-07-- CI needs SA (1)
SA Inc-- C81-- 08-17-07-- Did Zawacki tell C81 it would be worth it? (1)
SA Inc-- C81-- 08-17-07-- Maxim points to SA abuse of ATP on C81 (1)
SA Inc-- C81-- 08-18-07-- Best fails to answer Maxim on brain blowout (1)

Note the pointless posts in Cryonet in the past week. There ARE singularly important issues in cryonics-- at particular points in time and right now-- SA, maxim and C81 are it. Anything else consistutes distraction. it's incredible to witness the lack of interest among most cryos on this case. -- Cases are CENTRAL to what we do and the analysis of cases from ALL angles should be far more intense IF cryonics were a a true academic community-- which it is NOT-- it's something else other than that in my view.

There is no leadership in the cryonics community either. The individuals who should be leading the most significant issues are silent-- or sidelining the main points. Nobody does summaries. Nobody other than me indexes. it's astonishing-- and so the future of cryonics, I would say, involves investeigative journalism and private investigation AS MUCH AS anything in terms of technical work. At this time, Maxim is the leading the most important discussion in the world of cryonics...
