Maximum Life Foundation-- exactly what is this?

[+] I'll be looking at this more carefully in coming weeks. I recall looking at it before but it's not routinely referred to in cryonics literature even though current Alcor COB (longest sitting board member) Riskin is on the Maxlife board too. Riskin doesn't blog-- consistent with all the inner circle people in cryonics.

Blogging is the current de facto standard for transparency in government as well as lives of teenagers. Blogging with alpha tags like this blog is the cutting edge of blogs-- not MySpace. Even multi-media blogs require alpha tags for sensible navigation, something MPlus still hasn't gotten a clue on. Certainly forums are "early 2000's" and show their obselence.

Back to Riskin-- The most important position in alcor is in fact the Chairman of the Baord of Directors I think. The recent board meeting was under-reported-- and so I think that probably should be looked at. Max life is a creature of this guy [+] who wrote something like "how the rich get richer without anyone knowing". So essentially, in cryonics, we have a sub-culture of guys who know how to work with big big money apparently-- and they don't blog. Hmmm...

it's almost as if cryonics has become a 'front" for a sub-culture of money men. You can see this most recently in Maxim's SA critiques where nothing makes sense in terms of cryonics-- and yet millions of dollars are seen flowing through the operation. We also see evidence of nepotism-- with same familiy members emplyed by CCR--

Ettinger used to be fond of saying that we can't wait for money men to support cryonics-- but it looks like big money HAS found cryonics-- it's just that it's underground right now. Obvious situations-- like Linda Chamberlain's visit to Miller in Montreal several years ago-- produced no overt reports-- yet it's all there in the background. Canadian Cryonics Society-- ostensibly run now by Christine Gaspar-- with participation by CI pres Best-- never mention prominent cryonics guy Miller-- despite the effect it would have on Canadian cryonics.

Ughh. All these loose pieces. It's an amazing incomplete puzzle to me. And while I'm at it, I think Pizer owes -- yes "owes"-- the cryonics community an explanation of the discontinuance of the Physical Immortality magazine. But then-- the thing is-- Dave is now directing his accumulated wealth to his "perpetual trust". And ALL the money men in cryonics are into that-- I was shocked by the JAn 06 WST article. Amazing. Disheartening too. And hard to understand in terms of the benefit to the cryonics mission-- easy to undersand in terms of money men who have spent their lives with a core philosophy of monetary accumulation. The love of money-- knows no bounds.

Maximum Life Foundation-- is about money first I think. The money tail wags the cause-dog. You can create any cause you want-- and the money-tail will ALWAYS, apparently, end up wagging that dog. I call the money men-- the dog waggers-- Money was supposed to be a means to higher ends-- yet it always ends up as an end in and of itself.... in this metaphor-- the end of the dog-- the tail.

We should just call the entire show-- the Money Extension Foundation... Mission: To accumulate money using whatever front we can... to reduce tax exposure.. and to remain guardedly secret... to never let the money separate from my estate-- even after death... Immortality for My Money-- TransMoney-ism. Super Money.

The funny thing is-- when you really understand what Money is-- a form of credit in the American System, and NOT what the MONETARISTS say-- the whole picture changes. That's why Classical Humanism is essential for a new framework for cryonics. It'll probably take me 50 years to change the direction of the cryonics industry in this regard. The new generation of young people-- are the hope. The current crop of money men in cryonics are lost. Hopeless.

Cryonics always was a long shot. But I thought of that long shot in terms of purely technical and cosmological terms. Now I see that the long shot is even longer due to the social and political elements. Even Ettinger's Penultimate Trump which predated Prospect by some 15 years-- (!)-- involved money men and wasn't at all oriented around opportunity for all-- Don't know how Ev cooper thought in those terms.
