the first hour is critical and ideally involves washout, organ pres + cool

From Reaching for Tomorrow 1993--

...in these remote circumstances, and in fact in almost any circumstance requiring a transport time in excess of 45 mintues-- the patient's bloo will be "washed out" (instead of simly circulated and cooled) and replaced with an organ preservation solution.... when the blood has been replaced with the organ preesrvation solution, the patient is secured in a custome shipping container, completely surrounded by packed ice, and transported by air to Alcor's main facility".

This answers my earlier question to myself about which is preferable-- cps + chem + cool OR... washout-organ pres+ cool-- turns out the latter has always been preferable. Thus, the importance of ATP-- and in CI's case-- ATP at the coop mortician's facility.. but medical-quality ATP-- not mortician quality.

The precise error made by the SA people is still not being highlighted in CF-- Maxim herself is participating in another thread-- and as time goes on, this incident will fade. I would advise the entire cryonics community to isolate this C81 ATP error-- for a few days-- If you magnify the error and it's effect on C81-- and compare it to what C81 wanted, which was NO SA participation, then look at what would have happened without SA-- or at least no SA ATP use-- we could learn something.

The first hour after legal death-- is likely now the most interesting and critical part of cryonics-- overall-- for ALL cases. All cases should be examined for how that first hour worked out... because there's where cryonics today is found. Yes-- there are other components, but all other components of cryonics support lets say the hour after death.

Brings to mind-- the prayer-- "now and at the hour of our death, amen".... Our father, who art in heaven-- can be written...

Our cryonics agent, who we hope are smart.
Hello, what is your name?
Thy ambulance will come
Thy preservation will be done, remotely, as it is at headquarters.
Give us this day our daily organ preservative
And give us our cooling
As you have given others their cooling
And lead us not into disassemblance
But deliver us from cettain death. Amen.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Where did I get "now and at the hour of out death?".

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

Hail Alcor
Full of technical expertise
The capability is with thee
Organized art thou among Cryonics firms
and organized is your perfusion kit
of thy lab, and technicians
Holy Shit
Don't let me deanimate
without a good preservation
Be there at the hour of my death.
Perfuse me!
