FD asks elemental significant question on C81

Response to It causes concern for CI members
... without relying on fly-in service from SA, Alcor, or whoever people depend on it from.

It would take a lot of effort, training, equipment and expense, but local teams could be trained and equipped to do it. Those teams could be operated by funeral directors, or local cryonics groups who have people willing and able to be trained.

But in the recent case of CI 81, it seems he did not consider that part of the process important. Why, still remains a mystery, and those who know are not talking.

I've zeroed in, previously-- on the son-- who would know why C81 did NOT sign up with SA-- after the SA conference. One of the reports said C81 did NOT sign up with SA for reasons only known to him-- but I pointed out that the son must konw because the son attented the conference with C81. They must have discussed it. Later we see Ben considers the fact that there would be no standby-- so negotiates a lower price with SA. But the SA price schedule on the CI site already is clearly stated-- and it's on top of the given price. The son makes the deciision to bring in SA.

Now FD points to this idea of local CI effort-- and that was my point too-- in my earlier post today.. How would the preservation have gone IF CI handled it-- FD spins it better by saying that local CI capaibiliy would have been better...

I looked at the CI cases-- and there's no information on exactly how local CI people work-- no names etc.-- it's all pretty much hidden even with Ben Best there-- who everyone thought was transparent-- but it's a black box again-- and we don't know WHAT information is hidden because of law or personal preference or other reasons-- and what info should be public-- or CAN be public....

Prospects for cryonics are going to have to see all of these elements to be motivated to sign up. We have to see the teams like we see the teams in a dentist office. I get advertisting from my dentist, and we know who will be the dentist, the assistent, the front office people etc. And they all smile. Going to the dentist is scary and they make it seem friendly-- and it turns out to be so. We should model cryonics labs on dentists offices.

I'm critical of FD on a number of points-- but there are ways of thinking that I like about FD too-- and this singular point-- about what the local CI situation is-- and what C81 had in mind for local rescue-- is a very good one-- it's part of the center of the issue of WHY C81 WAS HANDED OVER-- by Best-- on "reduced cost"-- given no standby-- when in fact standby cost was ADD ON anyway-- Note that NO COSTS were given in either report.

It's the HANDOVER to SA that is the SUSPICIOUS ELEMENT here-- regardless of all the things Harris is saying on CF with respect to the actual technical details of carrying out the case. He may or may not have valid points-- I don't know-- but it's OFF POINT-- anyway-- because HArris is NOT dealing with the element of the HANDOVER-- the motives behind that-- and the CONTRACT-- and of course this is why forums don't really work-- and blogs do. I can draw attention to THIS singular point-- whereas in a forum-- FD's similar point is buried in a thread. Today it's my headline. And you can find it in alphabetical order below-- (Harris ridiculed my alphabetical order fetish earlier implying that I'm mentally ill-- to which I say "sticks and stones...")...

The nice thing about an alpha blog-- in this case a multi-level alpha blog-- is that you can draw attention to what you want-- with precision-- depending on how good your thinking and writing skills are. It takes some doing-- but you see my point. Look at my beautiful mentally ill list above where you can find precise information on various aspects of this case. Now visit the cacaphonious CF and try to find what you're looking for-- or what anyone in paticular says. You can't do it. It's that simple. So-- the fact that Harris implies I'm mentally ill merely suggests that he doesn't understand the value of multi-level alphabetical order. What we don't understand, we fear-- or ridicule. "Doctor" Harris might be "doctoring" his views on the C81 case-- think about that when you think "doctor". To "doctor" a report means to "manipulate it" to reflect what you want it to reflect. Harris's presence in CF is what's called "spin control". I would urge cryonicists to spin their focus into the HANDOVER--
