Blogging-- philosophy-- discussion is a distraction

Could it be that discussion is over-rated beyond anything I've ever concieved? Think about what occurs in a so-called "discussion". You pose an idea-- and IMMEDIATELY-- in most cases-- another mind attempts to trump your own fledgling thought-- and more often than not-- CRUSHES it out of existence like stepping on a bug.

Blogging is a far superior way to generate a thought pattern. It represents one sovereign hopefully integrated mind-- and there is no challenge possible-- at least immediately-- so that a nascent thought can gain some legs and strenght before confronting the real world.

Lately, I'm making more and more use of my own alphabetical list to generate a matrix of increased awareness and thus new questions that I haven't been able to come up with before. This gives me a new sense of control and power-- the power to follow through on ideas-- that has not been possible on forums. The interference involved in "conversation" or "discusion" seems to me, now, like a really bad memory. You have to pick and choose very CAREFULLLY when and with WHOM to "discuss" things. Open forums leave one's fragile thoughts-- fledgling thoughts-- too exposed to harsh and violent attacks-- or to lack of recognition and therefore fading. An alpha list of tags can repair damage to a set of ideas over time--
