21CM-- rabbit kidney 2005-- vitrification formula-- Alcor formula

It seems to me that that the vitrification formula that was used in the successful rabbit kidney transplant announced in July 2005 by 21CM would have been of interest to Alcor for use on their members. Saul Kent who funds 21CM apparently with earnings from LifeExtension-sm [+] has been a cryonics advocate since the 1960's, and started the "LifeExtension" vitamin sales company in 1980. The exact nature of the relationship to the LifeExtension "Foundation" has never been clear to me, although it appears that the Foundation entity takes a percentage of the earnings from the LifeExtension-sm vitamin sales-- which turned out to be extremely substantial-- far beyond anything I can comprehend... and "grants" money to various anti-aging researchers and, lately, cryobiology researchers. IT's unclear to me what the source of funding for 21CM has been-- over the years-- whether it, as an entity if funded by LifeExtension Foundation or private income of Saul Kent. My understanding of the "financial network" connected with Saul Kent, cryonics, vitamin sales etc. is exttremely weak.

My main point here is that Alcor "Life Extension Foundation" as an entity-- would neccessarily be interested, as an entity, in the exact formulation that Fahy et al came up with that allowed them to do that rabbit kidney breakthrough from -135-- quite possibly the largest organ ever revived from that cryobiological state-- and to my mind-- under-reported-- (maybe intentionally?)... I don't personally trust anyone's focus in cryonics-- I myself am signed up with Alcor-- but there's is a sort of weird distorted uneven picture being generated in cryonics as a whole-- in my view. The key to rectifying the picture is simply to keep inventing "records" like this post, alphabatized-- that act as reference points.

This reference point-- the EXACT-- formula that was used on the rabbit kidney as reported in 05-- is interesting. And it would be interesting to understand where things have gone on THAT point over the past 2 years. Saul is interestd in profits-- and so there is going to be intellectual property rights involved here-- pricing-- there's the larger organ preservation and cryobiology community-- that perspective is relevent-- the relationship between public and private funds-- universities for example are involved in patents and there are more patents than ever-- ultimately-- there is crazy stuff going on and I don't witness anyone, at least in cryonics, writing about all of it sufficiently.
