University of California study noted in Newsweek article points to danger of oxgyen to unconcious people.

If a person is found unconcious and the length of time of unconciousness isn't know, it appears that giving them oxygen before lowering their body temperature could kill them. This is my understanding of a UC study cited in a Newsweek article in early June 2007. This is significant to the emergency rescue phase of cryonics as well as medicine in general. Once a person is declared legally dead, it appears that oxygen should not be introduced into the lung lavage process until some cooling has taken place.
