FD's criticism of blogs not justified-- and falsely attributes "hard to read" to Maxim's blog.

FD criticises blogs in general here. [+] He writes--

This makes it very difficult to find anything but the most recent message, even if you know it is there and want to look for it.

Oh really? Let's look at Melmax's right hand column--

Gee it would seem to me that her list of posts is pretty easy to follow. I think what really has FD annoyed is that he's not going to be able to steer readers' attention as easily as he has been afforded by the giving up of editorial power to him by HInek. I would say Maxim's blog is great-- and less easily messed with. She directs readers' attention nicely. FD will have to come up with his own original posts in CF by himself since few others do.

The watering hole effect that FD refers to as being a primary asset of Cryonet or CF-- is easily replaced now by Google blogsearch under cryonics-- where Maxim's, Arcturus', MarkPlus's, and my blog posts are found. In fact, any blogger can appear easily there-- and they can't be cut out of the general milieu as i was from CF and which ban was supported by FD and other CF'rs. Aside from that, MelMax can post a link to her blog in CryoNet occasionally-- so those readers will spot her. Using Cryonet as a switchboard reduces Kevin Brown to switchboard operator-- something he's more suited for than "moderator".
